Pavillon de Vendôme, Aix-en-Provence et le Frac Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur
Included in 2013 in the regional project of the Frac Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, on the theme of Ulysses, the exhibition Tisser des liens/Weaving Links can be visited in two stages, and brings together thirteen artists: Ghada Amer, Isa Barbier, Valérie Belin, Carolle Bénitah, Pierrette Bloch, Marie Ducaté, Ymane Fakhir, Aïcha Hamu, Julie Legrand, Sophie Menuet, Anne-Marie Pécheur, Chiharu Shiota, Michèle Sylvander. The works on view bring up issues involving expressions and/or representations of the feminine, with certain works being in situ. Linked with the myth of Penelope, a specific emphasis is laid on pieces connected with working textiles in their traditional and present-day aspects.
