Today, the Château de Servières is a contemporary art gallery with a clear identity, located in the exhibition space of the city’s Ateliers d’Artistes, after occupying a bastide or Provençal farmhouse in Marseille’s northern neighbourhood since it was created, and for the best part of twenty years. We were keen to become involved in the Ulysses project by undertaking a twofold participation. A group show focusing on the theme of the return to the Bastide exhibition rooms with 22 artists who have marked the history of these places and a solo show of Miguel Palma’s work, as part of a Euro Méditerranée workshop, held in the Galerie du Boulevard Boisson.
