Lionel Estève, A very small part of infinity

Herman Byrd  : The book is called A very small part of infinity. Can you tell me what was behind this title? Is it related to the works, to your place in the world or in the art world?

Lionel Estève : Today, it seems, the universe is finite. I am a bit like Giordano Bruno. I find it hard not to think of it as infinite. Starting with the postulate that infinity exists, you can then imagine that everything exists. And even several times. Everything exists an infinite number of times. You take beads and you throw them onto a table and you can say that it’s a representation of a constellation of stars that actually exists. So, everything you can imagine has another status than being the simple product of your imagination. It is grounded in the real, if that real is infinite. I don’t know if this has to do with any theory of any kind, I’m just giving you my own thoughts.
