Semaine no.13.14

Yohann Gozard, Chronotope
Maison Salvan, Labège

The exhibition Chronotope stems from a research residency during which Yohann Gozard—mainly identified with his work as a photographer—was free to make use of practices which are either extremely novel or dormant. The notion of territory, and its flat or three-dimensional representation, lies at the heart of the artist’s way of thinking, like an echo of the “geography” of the walls and floors of La Maison Salvan, made up of an assemblage of disparate forms of matter, and volumes. Forms of landscapes are presented, be it through still or moving images, an installation, or a graphic work. Each one comes from or is inspired by reality, but is moved towards an indefinite space-time elsewhere.
