Centre international d’art contemporain, Carros et le Frac Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur
The Frac Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur and the town of Carros have been partners since 2001, undertaking many programmes in the premises offered by the International Centre of Contemporary Art—thematic exhibitions based on the Frac’s own collection, exploring different disciplines and areas of expression, with special attention to mediation and training. An agreement signed in 2011 confirmed the Ciac in its role as a venue for the Frac in the Alpes-Maritimes. The castle, newly restored in 2010, accommodates an artist’s residence, and it is this sort of partnership that has been chosen for Ulysses in 2013. Taking up a proposal made by the Frac, and in the wake of his on-the-spot presence, Neal Beggs is putting on a show resulting from research and encounters which highlight his current themes and areas of activity.
